Schedule:Schedule coming soonOur Abacus Class teaches the Japanese Abacus and Anzan (mental math) method — a proven system used in East Asia that helps children see math in their minds and solve algebra problems quickly and accurately.
Acers learn the technique behind using the abacus, which helps students confidently develop strong mental visualization, number sense, and algebra confidence. Over time, Acers can visualize the abacus to do math entirely in their heads — even large calculations — building a foundation for future success in advanced math and problem-solving.
Instructor: Mr. Dassel, who has reached the highest level in Japanese Soroban Abacus and the second-highest level in Anzan. “As someone who grew up learning Abacus, I know how significantly the methods can help solve big math problems quickly in my head. To this day, it feels great to be able to do quick mental math with 4, 5, 6, and higher digit numbers. It’s a joy to be able to impart this knowledge onto the younger generation as well!”

Schedule:Schedule coming soonOur Coding Class helps students think logically, solve problems, and create with technology. We teach students to understand the “why” behind computers — not just how to click and code.
Elementary Division: Students start with fun, visual coding tools like Scratch and Code.org to learn basic commands, loops, and conditionals. They design their own games, animations, and stories, building a strong foundation in logic and digital creativity that prepares them for real coding languages later on.
Junior High & High School Division: Our advanced students learn the building blocks towards coding languages like Python, JavaScript, and HTML, working on projects that challenge them to plan, problem-solve, and code independently. We focus on helping them develop the skills and confidence for AP Computer Science, school projects, and beyond — with an emphasis on understanding and thinking like real programmers.
Coding at Ace isn’t just about computers — it’s about learning how to think, build, and innovate.
